NORTH ROCKIES 

Your license to ride in avalanche terrain! This is a certified 2 day course. It includes fundamental awareness of necessary terrain and snowpack characteristics that form avalanches.  The field day will apply those skills in real time.

Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 (Ski/Splitboard)

Avalanche course designed for the self propelled backcountry travellers. 1 classroom and 1 field day will explore the importance of recognizing terrain and snowpack characteristics that can trigger avalanches

Avalanche Skills Training Level 2 (SLED)

If you've taken the AST 1 training program, the AST2 is the next logical step. This 4 day course is 90% saddle time, learning about terrain selection and applying your skills in the mountains along with certified instructors. Evenings will consist of reviewing online resources, post trip debriefing  and making a plan for the next days objectives based on the most up to date weather and snowpack information available.

Managing Avalanche Terrain
February 29th Whistler (BraapBabes) 

In Conjunction with BRAAPBABES and Jessy Poirier. This 1 day riding course is intended for people who have already taken their AST 1 and are looking to gain more hands on/ saddle time travelling in big mountain avalanche terrain. Techniques for group management, real time snowpack assessment and terrain management are some of the skills we develop on this course. This specific course is tailored to BraapBabes and will include hands on instruction by Pro Freerider Andy Messner to give riders additional skills in NEXT LEVEL FREERIDING
